About

Inspired by the carefree spirit and the philosophy of La Belle Époque era, BOUCHERIE was created to be the perfect blend of an indulgent steakhouse and a refined Parisian brasserie. Envisioned by founder Emil Stefkov, the design expresses a reverence for elegant craftsmanship and tradition. The intricate details built in collaboration with numerous French artisans and existing features of American architecture bring elements of the past into a distinctively modern space. BOUCHERIE aims to provide an unforgettable brasserie dining experience, inspired by the most natural methods possible of sourcing and preparing food.

The French philosophy of joie de vivre, the joy of life, recognizes the potential for pleasure in the everyday. Classic French restaurant Boucherie charts a roadmap for adding small moments of joy into your routine with the book Joie de Vivre: Savoring the Joy of Life at the Modern Table. Complete with recipes for French cuisine classics, and contemporary cocktails, this book delves into the history, music, design, and food that adds up to the irresistible traditional French brasserie.

Throughout these pages, secrets are revealed behind cooking on a wood-burning grill, how to build the perfect cheese board, and how to begin exploring the many nuances of absinthe. The anecdotes, photos, and chef advice are inspiration for gathering around the table to experience the everyday pleasures of joie de vivre.
